about abby
abby came to yoga in her early teens in an effort to manage symptoms of anxiety and panic. she found solace in the physicality of practice, the stillness of meditation and the study of eastern philosophy. teaching fell into her lap through coincidence; she spent many years guiding vinyasa and ashtanga classes full-time in boston before relocating to new york city.
abby feels deeply indebted to her most influential teachers, elliott mceldowney, sam glannon and saraswathi jois. she maintains a daily ashtanga practice as a form of medicine, she finds joy in a gooey slow flow and indulges in restorative classes whenever the opportunity presents itself. outside of yoga, she loves art-house films, natural wine, beautiful poems and lying in the grass.
